mobile with TrafficTV, enabling you to see exactly where the traffic delays
are before you set off on your journey.
When you connect to the TrafficTV service, the latest delays are sent direct to your phone and flash on top
of a detailed map. If you zoom in to an area of interest, you can see either how fast
the traffic is moving or see the how many minutes you will be delayed by above usual journey time.
White dots represent average traffic speed. Black dots represent average delay time.
If you have a long journey ahead, TrafficTV will provide an accurate forecast of congestion through using data supplied by Trafficmaster™ cameras nationwide.
The intuitive menu integrated into TrafficTV allows you to access features quickly and easily. One such feature is the ability to review a list of incidents that may affect your journey:
Each incident listed provides detailed information regarding the average journey time/speed, incident location and any diversions or closures put in place. This information is supplemented with live streaming CCTV images direct to your handset from a large network of national highway cameras.
TrafficTV allows you to bookmark your favourite map views and CCTV camera streams for convenient access in future.
TrafficTV can be tailored for each individual, and provides a range of personal settings:
- Frequency of data being refreshed on the map.
- The first map shown when TrafficTV is opened.
- Whether delays are represented as in units of either speed or time.
